Jan. 12, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Yue Yuen Industrial (Holding) Ltd<551>, the world's largest athletic and casual footwear manufacturer for brands such as Adidas and Nike, announced that its operating revenue amounted to US$466 million in December last year, representing a robust increment of 16.1% from US$401.4 million a year earlier.

Its revenue rose to US$5.12 billion in 2008, up from US$4.27 billion in 2007, said Yue Yuen, a unit of Taiwan's Pou Chen Corp.

According to the company's profile, Yue Yuen is mainly engaged in manufacturing shoes for brands such as Nike Inc. and Adidas-Salomon AG at plants in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Shares of the Hong Kong-listed company edged down 0.13% to close at HK$15.02 on Monday.
